OPERATIONAL GUIDELINES

After the inauguration of "Community Conflict and Dispute Resolution Centre" (CCDRC), which opened its doors on the 6th day of February, 2020, the chief Judge of Katsina State Hon. Justice (Dr.) Musa Danladi Abubakar has taken a significant step towards further enhancement of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanism in the State judiciary. This is done by the establsihment of "Commercial Dispute Settlement Centres" (CDSC) accross the State.

The Centre which was proposed to be under the supervision of Katsina Multi-door Courhouse (KTMDCH) intends to provide a forum for settlement of commercial disputes where parties will enjoy the the benefit of accessing justice without delay, preserve or improve business relation among the disputants and support economic development by reducing cost usually incured in litigation process.

The Centre operates based on the Mediation and Arbitration procedures applicable at KTMDCH that is Mediation and Arbitration Procedure Rules 2011 practice. Also the High Court Civil Procedure Rules 2017. The pioneer model of the Centre chasing been established for "Fatima Baika Market" (Katsina Central Market).
