Commercial Dispute Settlement Centre (CDSC)
After the inauguration of "Community Conflict and Dispute Resolution Centre" (CCDRC), which opened its doors on the 6th day of February, 2020, the chief Judge of Katsina State Hon. Justice (Dr.) Musa Danladi Abubakar has taken a significant step towards further enhancement of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanism in the State judiciary. This is done by the establsihment of "Commercial Dispute Settlement Centres" (CDSC) accross the State.
The pioneer model of the Centre has been established for Kambarawa-Kwado-Makera, a cosmopolitant community within Katsina Metripolis.
Whereas the CDSC focusses on settlement of commercial disputes, the CCDRC settles community conflicts by providing a forum for members of the commuunities to communicate, address conflict and work together to restore peace, by providing solution that all parties can agree to and to improve and not hurt the relationship.
Summary of the services provided by the CCDRC are given below:
Building Peaceful Communities
"..by providing a forum for members of the communities to communicate, address conflict and work together to restore peace, by providing solution that all parties can agree and to improve and not to hurt the relationship."
Educating the Community

As a Resource For Collaborative Community Relationships
"..This involves the use of trained community volunteers as providers of mdiation services, with the practice of mediation open to all persons."
